Education
Hands-On Crew Training
We believe that a medical kit is only as good as the crew using it. Our training covers CPR/AED use, wound care, traumatic bleeding control, burn care, infection prevention, and medical emergencies commonly encountered offshore. Training is hands-on and tailored to the unique offshore sailing environment, with curriculum informed by real offshore incidents, operational risk analysis, and firsthand experience at sea.
Medical Kits
Custom Medical Kits
Custom-designed medical kits built for the demands of inshore, coastal, and offshore sailing. Each kit is developed using a risk-based model informed by analysis of the most common injuries and medical issues encountered at sea, ensuring crews have the supplies they need without unnecessary excess. Designed with the realities of offshore racing in mind, kits emphasize comprehensive contents, durable waterproof packaging, clear organization, and rapid access in challenging conditions. In addition to trauma supplies, kits are equipped to address common medical problems offshore.
Telemedicine
24/7 Support
Offshore telemedical support provided by board-certified nurse practitioners, paramedics, and physicians with extensive emergency and critical care experience. From serious illness and trauma to routine medical concerns, our team is available throughout your voyage so crews can focus on sailing with confidence and peace of mind. Confidential crew medical histories collected before departure help inform care, while our detailed knowledge of each vessel's medical kit allows for efficient, practical treatment recommendations offshore.
Medical Readiness
-
Most vessels already carry some form of medical kit, and crew often has some degree of medical training. Unfortunately, medical kits are often incomplete, contain expired supplies, or are packaged in ways that won't hold up in the offshore environment. Crew training is frequently a first aid or wilderness course taken years ago that never addressed offshore realities: limited resources, delayed evacuation, and a long time to definitive care. Emergency assistance and telemedicine services leave a similar gap. They weren’t built specifically for offshore sailing, and the provider on the line may not know what’s in your kit, your crew's medical training, or what the offshore environment rules out.
Our Medical Readiness Assessment reviews what you have aboard and what your crew knows, identifies the gaps, and sets priorities across training, equipment, and telemedicine support.
-
Coverage Review
We start with what you have aboard and in place: your medical kit, crew training and certifications, evacuation coverage, and telemedicine services.Offshore Gap Analysis
We identify gaps in your medical preparedness through a risk assessment based on the injuries and illnesses most likely to occur offshore. Your vessel type, crew size and experience, expected time offshore, and connectivity determine how those risks apply to you, and whether your medical kit and crew training are prepared to address them.Recommendations
You get a clear written summary of what’s adequate, what’s redundant, and what’s missing, with priorities across training, kit contents, and telemedicine support.Implementation (Optional)
We close the gaps the assessment identifies. We build your medical kit to fit your vessel and crew, deliver training focused on offshore emergencies, and set up telemedicine support matched to your connectivity and voyage.
